Riding forward with Pride: A recap of Lime’s biggest Pride campaign yet
Pride 2025 at Lime
This June, we launched our largest ever Global Pride campaign, "Ride Forward"—a celebration of authenticity, community and the power of showing up in full color. Our mission was clear: support our rider community by helping people get where they need to go for Pride, ensuring that everyone has access to celebrate, gather and show up proudly in their cities. At a time when many brands pulled back their support for Pride, citing political pressure and economic uncertainty, we doubled down on our commitment.
A global movement of local impact
This year marked our most ambitious Pride effort yet, launching in over 24 cities across the world. Each city featured its own locally-led partnership with LGBTQIA+ non-profits, where we donated funds, volunteer hours and ride codes while shining a light on the amazing work they do.
In Washington D.C., we were honored to serve as the official mobility sponsor for World Pride. Beyond serving the millions of attendees, we provided transportation for festival staff, volunteers and performers, along with larger designated parking areas near major events and increased vehicle availability to meet the higher anticipated demand.
Fostering internal connection
Pride starts within—and this year, we made space to connect, listen and reflect together. Our Lime Pride Employee Resource Group hosted an internal fireside chat that brought employees across departments and geographies together for an open conversation on identity, allyship and what Pride means to each of us.
The discussion created a safe, supportive environment for sharing personal stories, exploring the intersection of queer identity and workplace culture, and reaffirming Lime’s commitment to being an inclusive place to work. It was a reminder that the strength of our external impact begins with the authenticity and solidarity we nurture within.
Community Pride events
Throughout June, we showed up in full color to surprise and delight riders around the world for Pride events:
Atlanta: We partnered with Schāf Shop for a sapphic-centered Pride pop-up party, serving free coffee and matcha alongside zesty bites and treats. The celebration featured a live DJ, green carpet photo ops, free Lime rides and helmets, creating a vibrant space for love and community.
Seattle: Our partnership with Bonito Cafe brought Pride to life with free Lime-inspired coffee drinks like Pistachio Cold Brew and Horchata Chai, plus delicious snacks including Lime conchas. Attendees enjoyed free ride minutes and other goodies while celebrating love and community.
San Francisco: We transformed U:Dessert Story in the Castro into a Pride party hub, serving free matcha and desserts while featuring a live DJ, dynamic drag performances by local queens, a branded photobooth, helmet decorating station, free ride codes and a giant living mural where people spread love by writing messages of Pride.
Paris: We hosted the second edition of the Dring Dring Show—Lime's free cabaret night—where we celebrated queer performers and the community with a diverse lineup of 9 performers, from drag kings to fire breathers and live singers. The event welcomed partners, local stakeholders, influencers, journalists, colleagues and riders, reinforcing Lime's role as a proud ally and cultural contributor committed to creating inclusive, visible spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Bronx and Queens Pride: We proudly sponsored two cornerstone events in New York City this year: Da Bronx Pride Festival and the New Queens Pride Festival. Lime is proud to support the local organizations that organize these events: Destination Tomorrow, a Bronx-based LGBTQ+ center focused on empowerment, and the LGBT Network, a nonprofit serving LGBTQIA+ individuals, families and allies across Queens and Long Island.
London: In partnership with Queers on Wheels, Lime helped to support a community ride for 10 of their members, which took them all the way from Richmond to Hampstead (and home again!). QoW is a community which exists to bring all Queer people together into cycling, wherever they fall in the LGBTQ+ spectrum, and whatever their level of experience. Lime has also supported QoW through their ongoing Share The Joy fund in London, which awards grants to projects that help encourage more people to cycle in the city.
Marching forward together
We even took our Pride celebrations to the streets:
SF Pride March: Our Lime Pride Employee Resource Group marched in the iconic SF Pride Parade, decked out in our Lime Pride shirts. We rode e-scooters past crowds of over 250,000 onlookers and even got featured on the news!
DC World Pride Parade: Teams rode decorated e-bikes and e-scooters in the Capital Pride Parade alongside a Pride-themed parade float and LED truck. We also hosted an interactive booth where team members distributed free helmets, limited-edition Pride swag and information on safe riding and community engagement
More Cities, More Pride: Our teams kept the momentum going in Oklahoma City, Spokane, and Salt Lake City (to name a few)—joining local parades, handing out gear, and standing proud with the communities we serve.
Looking ahead
As we reflect on this incredible month, we're reminded that Pride isn't just about celebration—it's about visibility, community and the ongoing mission of equality and inclusion. We're proud to have helped people get where they needed to go, whether that was a parade, a community Pride event or a game night with chosen family.
Presence is power—and y’all showed up!
Keep riding forward with Pride. We’ll see you out there.
