Lime Takes Top Micromobility Honors On LinkedIn Hottest Startups List

LinkedIn has just released its 3rd annual list of the hottest US startups to work for in 2019, giving Lime top honors among e-scooter operators.

Judged on criteria such as employee growth, jobseeker interest and LinkedIn member engagement, Lime was lauded for the way it both manages the diverse interests associated with running a successful, high-growth startup and “values those related skills in job candidates.”

“It’s an honor to be recognized by LinkedIn not only as one of the top startups in the US, but as the top startup in the micromobility industry,” said Laura Ventura, Lime’s global head of recruiting. “At Lime, we emphasize respect, empathy, strong communication skills and data-driven results that prioritize what’s best for everyone.”

To be eligible for consideration, companies must be younger than 8 years old, privately owned, headquartered in the US and have over 50 full-time employees. Businesses such as staffing firms, think tanks, nonprofits, accelerators and government-owned entities were excluded.

Lime, which has its main office on 2nd Street in downtown San Francisco, was founded in 2017 and has expanded operations to more than 100 cities in over 25 countries around the world. The company’s LinkedIn page currently has more than 33,000 active followers.

Earlier this year, Lime took top tech honors at CES 2019 in Las Vegas. Panelists at the highly-regarded business and consumer technology conference noted that the Lime Gen 3 electric scooter “takes what’s best about Lime’s current fleet of dockless e-scooters and improves upon it.”
