Lime supports the 2025 Kelowna Ride for Autism

We're back for year two of the Kelowna Ride for Autism and our team had an absolutely fantastic day supporting this incredible cause.

What we did

This year, we provided e-bikes to support participation and help riders tackle the rolling hills of the wine region. Our throttle-powered bikes gave everyone that extra boost they needed to cruise between stops and the baskets made it easy to carry home any prizes won and goods they purchased along the way. Our Lime team joined right in for the fun, riding alongside participants and soaking up the community spirit.

Together, we raised $1,500 for Canucks Autism Charity as part of a remarkable community effort that brought in $160,000 total.

Why we're here

We've been serving Kelowna with e-bikes and e-scooters since 2021, completing nearly 1.5 million trips across the city as of July 2025. Events like the Ride for Autism show us what makes this community special—and why we love being part of it.

Why it matters

This ride represents everything we believe in: mobility for all and creating thriving communities. Canucks Autism Network helps individuals on the autism spectrum thrive, delivering programs for children, youth and adults while promoting inclusion and acceptance across BC and beyond. Their vision of a future where every autistic individual is understood and supported aligns perfectly with our own commitment to ensuring micromobility serves every community member with equity, inclusion and respect.

The Lime Canada team have undergone autism awareness training with the Pacific Autism Network because we understand that micromobility can be a valuable transportation option for people where cars or traditional transit isn’t ideal. Our goal is to ensure that both our employees and riders are supported in fostering an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone.

Supporting the Ride for Autism is part of our ongoing commitment to community, joining initiatives like Ride for Pride and other local charity efforts across Canada, where we've been operating since 2018.

What's next

We're already looking ahead to continuing our support for the Ride for Autism and bringing that same energy to another event in Edmonton with Autism Edmonton later this year.

At Lime, we're working toward transportation that's shared, affordable, and carbon-free. But days like this remind us that it's also about bringing people together for the things that matter most. Thanks to everyone who rode, donated and helped make this event such a success.
