Lime Opens New 17,000 Ft2 Regional Repair Center In San Antonio

With the cut of a bright green ribbon, Lime’s newest investment in South Texas officially opened for business on Wednesday, August 21.

The 17,000 ft2 Regional Repair Center (RRC) in North San Antonio will put the city at the epicenter of e-scooter operations in the region, with the capacity to service some 6,000 vehicles per day. It’s an investment that will also create more than 50 local jobs, including scooter technicians, mechanics and operations staff hired from around the city.

“We’re excited about Lime adding local jobs and having a positive impact on our economy,” said North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Cristina Aldrete. “We look forward to working in partnership in helping them grow in their success when needed.”

Lime scoters first launched in San Antonio in the summer of 2018. Since then, hundreds of thousands of trips have been taken throughout the city, helping to reduce dependence on privately owned vehicles.

Lime has also been playing a proactive role in educating San Antonio scooter riders about the importance of safety and proper parking etiquette. The company’s next First Ride Academy will be held on Thursday, August 22 at 5:30 pm at its local headquarters on S Laredo St.

“We’re proud to serve the people of South Texas,” said Lime General Manager Erica Liu. “With our new Regional Repair Center and an increase in First Ride safety events, Lime is doubling down on our investment in and commitment to the city of San Antonio.”
