Lime And IKEA Pair Up To Promote Community Safety In Atlanta

When it comes to community safety, we’re all in this together.

That was the idea behind IKEA’s Safety Day in Atlanta this July, featuring local organizations such as Lime, the American Red Cross, the ASPCA and the Atlanta Police and Fire Departments.

Complete with music, interactive workshops and safety-product giveaways, the event focused on giving Atlanta-area residents the opportunity to meet and engage with safety ambassadors from across the city.

“We’re extremely proud to be a part of Safety Day at IKEA,” said Nima Daivari, Georgia Community Affairs Manager at Lime. “Electric scooters are becoming an increasingly important part of many Atlantans’ daily mobility needs, and Lime is committed to ensuring that critical safety education accompanies that growth every step of the way.”

Lime team members were on hand throughout the day at IKEA in Atlantic Station to share safe riding education and hand out free helmets to community members. Representatives from Atlantic Station Access + mobility Program (ASAP+) were also in attendance offering free bike lights for safe commuting after dark.

The event comes just months after Lime and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority joined together to bring more affordable mobility options to low-income city residents.
