An art installation with purpose.
Changing Spaces is an art installation created by Lime and 3D street art pioneers, 3D Joe & Max to showcase just how much space in our capital is wasted. The artwork aims to inspire Londoners to consider the possibilities of a city with fewer parked cars, and take action to make our streets more beneficial for both people and the planet.

This doesn’t have to be a car parking space.

Demand for rental e-bikes is rising at a rate far higher than the allocation of space to park them in. The result is overcrowded parking locations. According to Lime’s analysis, there has been a 21% increase in parking locations with exceeded capacity in Zone 1 on weekdays in the last six months. In response to this, we’ve increased our foot patroller headcount dedicated to tidying busy bays by approximately 40%.
We hate untidy e-bike parking. We know you do too. Londoners need access to more sustainable travel and convenient bike parking, but streets should remain obstruction-free. Less than a quarter of Londoners said they would oppose the creation (24%) of more bike parking in shared spaces - so let’s make it reality, and tackle London’s rental e-bike parking challenge.
