Lime Launches Global LimePass Subscription Service
Lime has announced the launch of a new subscription service designed to help commuters and everyday scooter riders get the most out of micromobility.
Beginning today, LimePass will be introduced in cities across the US, Australia and New Zealand, with rollouts in additional global markets scheduled for early January.
The subscription service is designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing number of micromobility riders, simplifying commutes and rewarding those who depend on electric scooters and bikes for their day-to-day transportation needs.
HOW LIMEPASS WORKS
The Lime Week Pass offers unlimited free scooter unlocks (typically a $1/€1 savings per ride) for seven consecutive days. It’s the first such weekly subscription pass to launch in the micromobility industry. Depending on how often a rider uses Lime, the subscription can pay for itself in as little as 2-3 days.
“We know that more than 50% of our riders worldwide trust Lime for their commutes and personal daily trips around the city,” said Kevin Shi, Product Manager at Lime. “With our new LimePass service, we’re proud to offer them a more cost-efficient way to get around town and manage their busy schedules.”
HOW TO SIGN UP
To sign up for the LimePass scooter subscription service, Lime riders can simply:
- Open the Lime app
- Tap the menu icon in the upper left corner
- Tap the LimePass icon and follow prompts
*Pricing and participation may vary by market.
The new LimePass subscription service is the latest in a series of recent micromobility app and product enhancements. Over the summer, Lime rolled out the industry’s first Group Ride feature and announced expanded partnerships with both Google and Uber.
