Lime’s Week Of Service Gives Back To Local Communities

As Lime grows, so too must our commitment to service and equity.

Reimagining urban life is one of our foundational values, but providing mobility options and employment opportunities alone is not enough. We have a shared responsibility to help lift up the communities in which we live and operate.

This past January, the Lime team put this principle into practice with our first annual Week of Service. Employees from around the world took a few hours out of their week to work in their communities, supporting the individuals and organizations who strive to make our cities more equitable everyday.

Each project reflected a different aspect of the urban lives and communities that we aim to serve: providing meals to homeless men and women, cleaning the kitchen for a new community center or repainting a vandalized bike storage unit.

As one Lime employee put it, “It’s both a humbling and a revealing experience to be able to give back to the community in this way.”

From San Francisco to Melbourne, we’re committed to further cultivating this initiative to help uphold our communities and bring us closer to the people who rely on our products every day. Thank you to all Lime employees who participated, and to all of the incredible organizations who helped make our first Week of Service a success.
