We’re thrilled to share the news that, thanks to the love and dedication of our riders, we surpassed our 500 millionth ride on Lime vehicles.

This major milestone, a half billion trips (!!), is a testament to the impact people can make when they choose a more sustainable vehicle to get around cities. By taking 500 million Lime rides, our riders have replaced an estimated 125 million car trips – helping to ease congestion on city streets. They’ve also helped to avoid an estimated 50,000 metric tons of carbon emissions – improving air quality along the way.

They’ve traveled more than 600 million miles, or nearly one billion kilometers in more than 300 cities and more than 30 countries on five continents.

Lime has also helped to improve connections for our riders – to friends, errands, education and job opportunities, or even just fun.

It has been nearly seven years since Lime was founded and this mark is only the start of the impact we aim to have in helping to improve mobility in cities.

Our mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free is what drives our team in cities around the world. It’s our firm belief that if we can shift a few more people out of cars and onto clearer, smaller and lighter options, we can make cities healthier and more livable for everyone.

We’re so excited to celebrate this achievement today with our riders, but we’re already looking forward to the next 500 million trips, and the billions more after that.
