Supplemental Terms for LimePass and LimePrime

In connection with the Services, you may purchase, activate, access, or otherwise use a LimePass which is subject to these terms and conditions, as may be amended, and Lime’s User Agreement, the terms and conditions of which are expressly incorporated by reference (together, the “LimePass Terms”). Any undefined, capitalized terms will have the meaning set forth in the User Agreement. LimePass is offered by the Lime entity that provides you Services in your location, in accordance with the applicable User Agreement.

  1. Types of LimePass

We offer two different types of LimePass:

  • One-time offers, which expire either once the benefits are consumed or when the validity period ends, whichever comes first, and
  • Subscription-based memberships, which automatically renew monthly.

1.1 One-Time Offers (Prepaid Bundles)

    1. Key Terms and Conditions

LimePass allows users to purchase one-time offers bundled benefits (e.g., unlocks, rides, discounts, and/or minutes) in select markets (“One-time Offer”). When you buy a LimePass you agree to these Terms, as well as the specific terms of the One-time Offer.

Each One-time Offer will include important details and terms, such as:

  • Where and when a LimePass may be used,
  • The benefit(s) conferred by the LimePass (e.g., whether starts/unlocks are included in the LimePass and the total number of eligible starts/unlocks, minutes, and/or rides for each LimePass or the maximum duration of each eligible ride) (“LimePass One-time Benefits”),
  • The cost of the LimePass (“Rate”), and
  • The expiration date (whichever comes first: benefits are used or the validity period ends). Note that unused benefits will not roll over or accumulate after the LimePass expires, and no refunds or credits will be issued. If your One-time Offer includes both Riding Minutes and free unlocks, the free unlocks will expire once all Riding Minutes are used (even if the validity period has not yet ended).

Standard unlock fees, ride fees, and/or per minute fees apply after LimePass One-time Benefits are exhausted.

    1. Riding Minutes

A LimePass may include minutes that you can use with the corresponding LimePass service (“Riding Minutes”). If the LimePass includes Riding Minutes, these apply to each eligible ride taken within the time period identified in the One-time Offer, up to a cumulative total number of minutes not to exceed the Riding Minutes identified in your One-time Offer. Partial minutes are rounded up to the nearest whole minute.

Auto-Reload: if you enable Auto-Reload for your Minute Bundle, Lime will automatically purchase, on your behalf, a new Minute Bundle of the same type if your existing bundle is fully consumed during a ride that has not yet ended. One or more new bundles will be applied retroactively to cover the full trip duration.

Auto-Reload does not trigger if your minutes expire unused, or if the bundle is fully used at the end of a ride: in these cases, a new bundle will only be purchased if you take another ride.

You may disable Auto-Reload at any time in the app. If the same Minute Bundle becomes unavailable or you travel to a different market, Auto-Reload will be automatically disabled and you will be notified. Lime will also notify you of any future price increases before a new Auto-Reload purchase occurs.

If a payment failure prevents Auto-Reload from completing during your ride and you do not purchase a new Minute Bundle before the ride ends, any remaining portion of the trip will be charged at standard rates.

Auto-Reload purchases are subject to these LimePass Terms and the terms of your selected Minute Bundle.

Group Ride: during a Group Ride, each rider will contribute to the deduction of minutes from the One-time Offer. For example, if you host a group ride with one guest and you each ride 10 minutes, a total of 20 minutes will be deducted.

Swapstation: SwapStation Minutes will be applied after any minutes purchased via LimePass have been used or have expired.

1.2 Subscription-Based Memberships (LimePrime)

LimePass includes subscription-based memberships that provides access to a bundled package of free ride starts and/or other benefits such as reservations, scheduled vehicles, riding minutes, or discounted rides, as stated in your in-app or email offer (“Subscription Offer”). When you buy a LimePass you agree to these Terms, as well as the specific terms of the Subscription Offer.

Each Subscription Offer will include important details and terms, such as:

  • The benefit(s) conferred by the LimePrime membership (e.g., the total number of free ride starts, the total number of included riding minutes, whether free reservations are included) (“LimePrime Benefits”),
  • The LimePrime membership fee (“Fee”), and
  • The billing interval (“Billing Cycle”).

When you purchase a LimePrime membership, you agree to the LimePass Terms, as well as the specific terms of the Subscription Offer.

Standard ride start fees, ride fees, and/or per minute fees apply after all LimePrime Benefits are exhausted.

Group Ride: a host of a Group Ride may only use their LimePrime Benefits for guests if the Subscription Offer expressly allows it. In such case, during a Group Ride the LimePrime Benefits will be applied to both the host's and guests' rides.

  1. Auto-Renewal & Billing Cycle

The Fee for LimePrime is stated in the Subscription Offer. You will be charged the Fee for your first Billing Cycle on the date of purchase, which activates your LimePrime membership for the term set forth in your Subscription Offer. Unless you cancel, in accordance with the Cancellation terms below, you agree to be charged the Fee on the first day of the next Billing Cycle stated in your Subscription Offer based on the initial purchase date. Your LimePrime membership will automatically renew at the beginning of each Billing Cycle, and the Fee will automatically be charged to your selected payment method. Your membership will continue to renew each Billing Cycle until you cancel.

  1. Cancellation

You may cancel your LimePrime within the Lime App up to 24 hours prior to your next scheduled payment to avoid further charges. To do this, go to the LimePrime section located within the Wallet page in the Lime App and cancel the subscription. If you cancel your LimePrime, you will still have access to your LimePrime Benefits until the end of the current Billing Cycle.

  1. General Terms (Applicable to Both One-Time and Subscription-Based Memberships)

2.1 Receipts

Once you purchase LimePass, an invoice will appear in the 'History' tab of the app. If your account has an associated email and you've opted in for email receipts, a copy will also be sent to your inbox.

2.2 Usage & restrictions

LimePass is valid only in the country where purchased. LimePass may not be available in all regions or to all users.

LimePass is valid on Lime-owned electric scooters and electric bicycles except in the event the Offer expressly excludes a vehicle type from the LimePass.

LimePass cannot be combined, stored, or transferred, and is not valid with Lime Access, or with promotion codes or other discounts.

Lime reserves the right to revoke a LimePass if a Lime account has been flagged for suspicious or fraudulent activity, or if a Lime account otherwise violates the LimePass Terms.

2.3 Refunds

Consistent with the terms of Lime’s User Agreement, LimePass has no cash value and is non-transferable. LimePass is not eligible for refunds or credit, whether used or not, unless set forth in these terms or as required by applicable laws.

2.4 Changes and Updates

Lime may update these terms at any time. Any material changes to these terms will be communicated to you.

Subject to applicable law, when accessing or using the Services, you will consent to be bound by these terms, as amended at the time.

You are free to stop using LimePass and/or the Services at any time.

2.5 Promotional Offers & Temporary Discounts

From time to time, we may offer supplemental LimePass benefits or other promotional discounts. The specific terms applicable to such supplemental benefits and promotions will be stated in the One-time Offer or Subscription Offer. Lime reserves the right to withdraw or to modify any supplemental benefits and/or promotions at any time without prior notice and with no liability.

    1. 2.6.Right of Withdrawal

In certain jurisdictions, you have the statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of its activation, without providing any reason. Any LimePass subscription can only be cancelled following its activation and not upon each automatic renewal. To exercise the right of cancellation, you must inform Lime of your decision to cancel your purchase before the 14-day period has expired. You may contact Lime at [email protected]. We will reimburse you no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive your cancellation notice. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the transaction, and you will not incur any fees for such reimbursement. If you initiated use of the order or have otherwise used any part of your order during the 14-day withdrawal period, this use constitutes an express request by you to have immediate access to your order, and you may be required to pay an amount in proportion to the minutes used through the date we received your withdrawal notice at our standard pay as you go rates (in the case of a one-time offer) or in proportion to the expired duration of the applicable billing cycle through the date we received your withdrawal notice (in the case of a LimePass subscription).
