In connection with the Services, you may purchase, activate, and use LimePass which is subject to these terms and conditions, as may be amended, and Lime’s User Agreement, the terms and conditions of which are expressly incorporated by reference (together, the “LimePass Terms”). Any undefined terms will have the meaning set forth in the User Agreement. LimePass is offered to you by the Lime entity that provides you with Services under your User Agreement.
We offer two different types of LimePass: (1) One-time offers that, once purchased, expire either when all benefits are used or when the validity period ends, whichever comes first and (2) Subscription-based memberships.
One-time offers (Bundles):
LimePass offers you the ability to purchase One-time offers bundled benefits (e.g., unlocks, rides, discounts, and/or minutes) in select markets (“One-time Offer”). When you buy a LimePass you agree to these Terms, as well as the specific terms of the One-time Offer. Each One-time Offer will include important details and terms, such as: where and when a LimePass may be used, the benefit(s) conferred by the LimePass (e.g., whether starts/unlocks are included in the LimePass and the total number of eligible starts/unlocks, minutes, and/or rides for each LimePass or the maximum duration of each eligible ride) (“LimePass One-time Benefits”), the expiration and cost of the LimePass (“Rate”). Please refer to your One-time Offer for details before purchasing LimePass.
Standard unlock fees, ride fees, and/or per minute fees apply after LimePass One-time Benefits are exhausted.
Unused benefits will not roll over or accumulate after the LimePass expires, and no refunds or credits will be issued.
A LimePass may include minutes. If the LimePass includes Riding Minutes, these apply to each eligible ride taken within the time period identified in the One-time Offer, up to a cumulative total number of minutes not to exceed the Riding Minutes identified in your One-time Offer. Partial minutes are rounded up to the nearest whole minute.
If applicable for Group Ride, each rider will contribute to the deduction of minutes from the One-time Offer. For example, if you host a group ride with one guest and you each ride 10 minutes, a total of 20 minutes will be deducted. SwapStation Minutes will be applied after any minutes purchased via LimePass have been used or have expired.
Subscription-based memberships
LimePrime Membership. LimePrime is a subscription-based membership that provides you access to a bundled package of free ride starts and/or other benefits such as reservations, scheduled vehicles, riding minutes, or discounted rides, as stated in your in-app or email offer (“Offer”). Each Offer will include important details and terms, such as the benefit(s) conferred by the LimePrime membership (e.g., the total number of free ride starts, the total number of included riding minutes, whether free reservations are included) (“LimePrime Benefits”), the LimePrime membership fee (“Fee”), and the billing interval (“Billing Cycle”).
When you buy a LimePrime membership, you agree to the LimePass Terms, as well as the specific terms of the Offer. Please refer to your Offer for details before purchasing LimePrime. Standard ride start fees, ride fees, and/or per minute fees apply after all LimePrime Benefits are exhausted.
Fee and Renewal. The Fee for LimePrime is stated in the Offer. You will be charged the Fee for your first Billing Cycle on the date of purchase, which activates your LimePrime membership for the term set forth in your Offer. Unless you cancel, you agree to be charged the Fee at the Billing Cycle stated in your Offer based on the initial purchase date. Your LimePrime will automatically renew at the beginning of each Billing Cycle, and the Fee will automatically be charged to your selected payment method.
Cancellation. You may cancel your LimePrime within the Lime App at any time prior to your next scheduled payment to avoid further charges. To do this, go to the LimePrime section in the Lime App and cancel the subscription. If you cancel your LimePrime, you will still have access to your LimePrime Benefits until the end of the current Billing Cycle.
Free Trial. Your Offer may include a free trial offer (the “Free Trial Offer”) that entitles you to access LimePrime free of charge for the trial length stated in the Free Trial Offer (“Free Trial”). Your Free Trial begins from the moment you accept such a Free Trial Offer and continues for the trial length stated in the Free Trial Offer (the “Free Trial Period”). By submitting your payment details, you accept the Free Trial Offer and consent to being enrolled in a paid subscription-based LimePrime of the duration stated in the Free Trial Offer after your Free Trial ends. At the end of the Free Trial Period, you will be automatically billed in accordance with the Free Trial Offer terms and at the beginning of each Billing Cycle. If you decide that you do not want to become a paying LimePrime member upon the lapse of the Free Trial Period, you must terminate your subscription prior to the end of the Free Trial Period. If you cancel your subscription prior to the end of the Free Trial Period, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your access to the Free Trial. You may only use a Free Trial Offer once, unless we offer you subsequent Free Trial Offers. If you are a current or previous LimePrime subscriber, you may be ineligible for this Free Trial Offer (see Free Trial Offer terms). This Free Trial Offer may only be valid in select locations, for select users, or applicable to specific products only, as determined by Lime and as set forth in the Free Trial Offer. Lime reserves the right to withdraw or to modify this Free Trial Offer at any time without prior notice and with no liability.
Terms applicable to both one-time and subscription-based membership
LimePass has no cash value and is non-transferable. LimePass is not eligible for refunds or credit, whether used or not, unless set forth in these terms or as required by applicable laws. LimePass is valid only in the country where purchased, in cities Lime operates. LimePass is valid on Lime-owned electric scooters and electric bicycles except in the event the Offer expressly excludes a vehicle type from the LimePass. LimePass may not be available in all regions or to all users. LimePass cannot be combined, stored, or transferred, and is not valid with Lime Access, or with promotion codes or other discounts. A host of a Group Ride may only use their LimePass Benefits for guests if the Offer expressly allows it, in such case, the LimePass Benefits will be applied to both the host's and guests' rides. Lime reserves the right to revoke a LimePass if a Lime account has been flagged, in our discretion, for suspicious or fraudulent activity, if your conduct violates the LimePass Terms or any applicable law, misuse of the LimePass terms, or is harmful to our interests or to another user’s interests.
Lime may update these terms at any time. Subject to applicable law, when accessing or using the Services, you will consent to be bound by these terms, as amended at the time.
There may be cases where the benefits you purchased are unavailable for use due to circumstances beyond Lime’s control. In such cases, please contact customer support.
After purchasing LimePass, an invoice will be sent to the "History" tab in the app, and if you have selected this option in your account settings, the invoice will also be sent to your email.
From time to time, we may offer supplemental LimePass Benefits or other promotional discounts. The specific terms applicable to such supplemental benefits and promotions will be stated in the One-time Offer or Subscription Offer. Lime reserves the right to withdraw or to modify any supplemental benefits and/or promotions at any time without prior notice and with no liability.
Right to Withdraw within 14 Days of Purchase. You can cancel your purchase within 14 days of purchase of the LimePass. To exercise the right of cancellation, you must inform Lime of your decision to cancel your purchase before the 14-day period has expired - by submitting a cancellation notice or by contacting customer service by email: [email protected]. If you used any part of your LimePass benefits during the 14-day period, the reimbursement will be reduced by the cost of the services used, calculated at their regular rate, as displayed in the app without the discounts provided by the LimePass (i.e: you will be charged for the trips you have committed, at the original rate without the LimePass). We will reimburse you no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive your cancellation notice. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the transaction and you will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.
