Help your community with every ride
We marry our global reach with a hyper-local focus to meet the unique needs of the cities and communities we serve.
Lime Hero is our community empowerment program that allows riders to round up the cost of their rides to support a community organization in their hometown. Through partnerships with more than 65 organizations in more than 90 cities, riders who become Lime Heroes help to improve their communities with every ride they take. More than 175,000 Lime Hero riders have already helped to raise nearly $1 million globally for non-profit organizations addressing clean-air, safe streets, youth and community programming, services for the unhoused and more.
When you join Lime Hero, the cost of each trip you take will round up to the nearest dollar (or a similar conversion to your local currency) and 100% of the difference will be donated to a local nonprofit partner. Tap the ‘Donate’ button in the menu of your Lime app to join Lime Hero.
How we make an impact?
With an average donation of just $0.27 cents, our Lime Hero riders make a big impact for our partners. To date, Lime Hero has raised nearly $1 million (converted to USD) for charities and nonprofit organizations around the world.
With your support, organizations like The Felix Project have been able to further their mission to end hunger in London. In California, our partners at BikeLA continue to work diligently to advocate for safer streets for bicyclists. By joining the Lime Hero program, you can make an important difference in your community.

Seattle Neighborhood Greenways
Seattle Neighborhood Greenways' mission is to organize and mobilize people to make every neighborhood a great place to walk, bike, and live. Since 2011, Seattle Neighborhood Greenways and its coalition of 16 neighborhood groups have empowered communities to reclaim Seattle’s streets and make them safer for all ages, ethnicities, genders, and abilities.
Seattle Neighborhood Greenways envisions a future where Seattle's streets unite neighborhoods and connect people to where they need to go. Walking and biking are convenient, safe, comfortable, and even joyful. Children are able to walk and bike to school and to parks. Seniors are able to stay active and connected by walking and biking. Seattle's streets — one-fourth of its total land as a city — incorporates neighborhood priorities for play, relaxation, recreation, greenery, and community building. The streets and transportation systems are truly accessible and welcoming, and reflect the needs of people of every age, language, ethnicity, gender, race, ability, and level of wealth. Achieving this vision will give Seattle riders more choices for how to get around, keep them safer, save money, and reduce climate pollution.
