How to Park Your Ride in NYC
To keep the city moving and avoid fees, follow these simple parking rules:
1. Find the "Furniture Zone"
Always park your device on the sidewalk near the curb, lined up with things like tree pits or at bike racks and corrals where available.
2. Keep the Path Clear
- Leave 6 feet of space: Ensure there is a wide, straight path for people to walk past.
- Use the kickstand: Devices must be upright with both wheels on the ground.
3. No-Go Zones
Do not park in these areas:
- Transit Spots: Never block bus stops or subway entrances.
- Entrances: Keep doorways, driveways, and curb cuts clear.
- Intersections: Do not park on "Corners" (the area where the two sidewalks meet).
- Access Points: Stay clear of ramps and accessibility features for people with disabilities.
- Private Property: Only park in areas accessible to the general public.
- Keep it tidy: If a device is reported as an obstruction, we are required to move it. Help us out by parking right the first time!
Please remember that failure to properly park your vehicle when ending your ride may result in the following warnings, non-compliance fees, temporary suspensions, or permanent account deactivation based on repeated violations:
1st–2nd Violation: Warning.
3rd Violation: $5 non-compliance fee.
4th Violation: $5 non-compliance fee and a 48-hour suspension.
5th Violation: $5 non-compliance fee and a 30 day account suspension.
Thank you for helping us keep streets and sidewalks safe.
