Juicing, or charging, Lime-S electric scooters is a critical part of our micromobility network. It’s thanks to the dedication and hard-work of our Juicer Partners that we’re able to provide Lime riders in more than 100 cities around the world with a fleet of fully-charged e-scooters every morning.

So when these important members of the Lime community suggested a feature that would allow them to preemptively reserve low-battery scooters in need of harvesting, we listened.

Lime’s new Juicer Reserve feature has been rolled out in Oakland, California, Auckland, New Zealand and Brisbane, Australia -- with more markets soon to follow.

With the tap of a button, Juicers in these cities can now secure scooters for pickup before arriving at their location. This helps to keep the Juicing process clear, safe and efficient for everyone involved.

“Our goal is to review and optimize every facet of the Juicing process,” said Colin McMahon of Lime’s Juicer and Product Operations Team. “The Reserve Feature is an important step in that process, and one we’re excited to offer to our global Juicer Partners.”

The launch comes on the heels of our one-year Juicer Anniversary, where Lime’s Juicer Partners shared with us some of the ways they’re using this opportunity to pursue their goals of financial independence.
