With nearly 18 inches of snow blanketing Chicago and more to come this week, Lime is teaming up with local Chicago organization My Block, My Hood, My City to help people in need, including senior citizens and people with disabilities, get their driveways and sidewalks shoveled for free. Lime riders who volunteer will receive 10 free ride credits.

My Block, My Hood, My City is a local Chicago organization that is always willing to step up to help those in need. The M3 Shovel Crew, which gathers volunteers to help clear snow from sidewalks and driveways for senior citizens and persons with disabilities is just one way they serve Chicago communities.

Heavy snow remains in the forecast for Chicago so Lime wants to encourage our riders to volunteer with My Block, My Hood, My City’s Shovel Crew and help shovel snow to reduce mobility hurdles for those in need. Lime riders who complete a volunteer shift will receive a promotional code good for up to 10 free rides of up to 15 minutes each, which can be used on all Lime vehicles including e-scooters and e-bikes, in any city in the United States where Lime operates — and when Chicago's e-scooter program resumes later this year.
