FAQ in Auckland

  • To end a ride in a parking pins zone (like Britomart), locate the parking pin on the map in the app > place the scooter within the geofence of the parking pin > end ride.

  • It is encouraged that the riders inspect the vehicle before starting any trip. If riders see any signs of damage or concern for safety, they are able to contact [email protected] or call 0800467001 to report and choose a different vehicle for the trip.

  • Just like driving a car, laws regarding operating a vehicle under the influence apply and riders must be under the legal drinking limit when using a Lime. Don’t Drink and Ride.

  • All our vehicles are supplied with helmets. If there is no helmet present, please use another vehicle with one. All bike riders need to have a helmet on by Law.

  • As Auckland CBD is a high-density area, the top speed of Lime scooters has been restricted to 15km/h in Auckland CBD to keep riders and pedestrians safe.

Parking in Auckland

Amy Gillett Foundation

The Amy Gillett Foundation was established in 2005 following the death of Amy Gillett, who was killed by a driver on 18 July 2005 while she was cycling in Germany with the Australian women’s cycling team.

Amy’s husband, Simon Gillett, together with Amy’s parents Mary and Denis and friends, concerned at the state of safety on Australian roads, started the foundation in January 2006.

The Amy Gillett Foundation has evolved to become the leading cycling safety organisation in Australia, driven by a core mission to reduce the death and injury of cyclists.
