Traveling by train? We’ve integrated into the SNCF Voyageurs assistant app

Traveling by train? We've integrated Lime into the SNCF Voyageurs assistant app to book a Lime scooter or bike and easily complete your last-mile commute in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Grenoble and Bordeaux.

The SNCF (french national railway group) Assistant app is now offering more options to travelers. The app makes it possible to book trips by train, bus, taxis and carpooling and is offering shared Lime bikes and scooters. The SNCF Assistant will redirect its users to the Lime app.

"With the integration of shared scooters and bikes, we are taking an important step towards making our SNCF Assistant application the benchmark for all kinds of mobilities. By offering an ever more fluid and natural experience between modes, we are taking action to simplify the lives of our travelers.” Christophe Fanichet, Chairman and CEO of SNCF Voyageurs.

“This partnership means more users can take journeys in a socially distanced and environmentally friendly way, and we’re proud to offer our services at a time when they are needed most. Bikeshare programmes like Lime and JUMP will not only be a key part of France’s efforts to create safer streets and reduce emissions, they will be critical to ensuring increased car usage in the city doesn’t become the ‘new normal”, says Garance Lefèvre, Director of Public Policy at Lime France.

This partnership not only encourages intermodality but also allows the potential to offer users a range of options based on trip length and preference, all on one platform. “Today, 23% of scooter trips are combined with public transport or the autonomous shuttle" said Julien Nicolas, the general manager of eVoyageurs SNCF. According to SNCF, "the SNCF Assistant is today in the pocket of 1 out 4 French citizens.”

Earlier in October, Lime announced the Lime Platform, a first-of-its-kind transportation platform to exclusively offer shared light electric vehicles. The announcement included Wheels, a shared electric vehicle company that offers a unique seated scooter design, as the first partner to join the platform, with more to follow in the coming months. Partners joining the Lime platform will diversify Lime’s offerings beyond its traditional e-bikes and e-scooters, providing riders options to fit various trip types and distances.
