Melbourne Tests Out New Lime Gen 3 Scooter At Event With TOMS, Timbuk2

Last Thursday, hundreds of Aussies came out to show their support for innovative and sustainable brands in Melbourne.


The community rallied at “A Slice of California,” an aptly named event hosted by California-based brands Lime, TOMS and Timbuk2.


Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about all three companies, including Lime’s mission to reimagine cities via affordable, accessible micromobiliy. This is especially relevant in a city like Melbourne that experiences more traffic congestion annually than NYC.


 

With a fleet of Lime’s new Gen 3.0 electric scooters on hand, Melburnians had the opportunity to experience firsthand the freedom of movement that micromobility affords. They also learned about safety features standard on every Lime scooter, and the importance of establishing good riding habits.


“Everyday you go through the pain of congestion of trams and trains, but that was so much fun” said one Melbourne resident after her ride on the Gen 3. “I can definitely see that being very useful.”


The interactive night was filled with delicious food, refreshing beverages and local artist showcases.


A partnership between Lime, TOMS and Timbuk2, the “Slice of California” event was open to the Melbourne community to share the missions of these three Golden State-based brands, along with their commitment to innovation and sustainability.
