Li Fan Joins Lime As New VP And Head Of Engineering

News | July 24, 2018

Today, Lime is thrilled to announce that Li Fan will be joining the team as VP and Head of Engineering.

Li brings with her a critical depth of knowledge gained from her time as Senior Director of Engineering at Google, where she helped transform the company’s image search feature from a collection of photos into a powerful visual search engine.

Most recently, Li led a team of over 450 engineers at Pinterest as SVP of Engineering. Her accomplishments include managing the company’s technical direction and spearheading major releases in areas such as computer vision and recommendations.

“I’m excited to be joining Lime at such a pivotal moment in the history of urban transportation,” said Li. “Technology continues to play an ever more important part in the evolution of personal mobility worldwide, and I look forward to advancing Lime’s position as a key global innovator in this space.”

Li’s addition is the latest in a host of exciting developments at Lime, from our recent funding round led by Google Ventures and Uber to this week’s release of our much-anticipated One Year Report.

“We’re excited to welcome Li Fan to the team,” said Toby Sun, CEO and co-founder of Lime. “Through her work at organizations like Pinterest, Google and Baidu, Li has established herself as one of the top engineering minds in the industry. Her leadership will be instrumental in helping Lime achieve our goals of bringing smart, clean, affordable mobility access to all.”
