Lime Launches Ride Credits for Vaccine Appointments in Seattle as Washington Expands Vaccine Eligibility
Lime, the world’s leading provider of shared electric vehicles, today announced an extension of its Ride to Recovery program as Washington pushes to vaccinate all residents ages 16 and up. Lime has served Seattle, our first major city, longer than any other provider, and is committed to assisting the efforts of the most highly vaccinated city in America. Riders who use Lime to get to or from their vaccination appointment through the end of May are eligible to receive two rides for free (up to 15 minutes each) by entering the promo code SEARIDETORECOVERY. Lime will also continue to communicate helpful vaccine information to its users via in-app messaging and on its owned channels.More information on vaccinations can be found at seattle.gov.
“Vaccinations are saving lives and paving the way for economic recovery and Lime is ready and willing to do our part to help. Our Ride to Recovery program is helping cities around the world get moving again and we are proud to extend this offer in Seattle. We want everyone to be able to get to and from their vaccine appointment easily, safely, and affordably, including those who don’t own cars or are looking for an open-air transportation option,” said Lime CEO Wayne Ting.
"Seattle and King County are operating the largest vaccination site in the country and we want to help people get to and from their appointments. We are glad to make access to vaccinations easier with Ride to Recovery and encourage people to get their shots," said Jonathan Hopkins, Lime's strategic development director for the Pacific Northwest. "Lime encourages all Seatlle residents to take this opportunity to get vaccinated to protect yourself and our community."
