Lime Offers Riders A Snapshot of 2022 With the Lime Ride Replay’

2022 has been one for the books at Lime, bringing us closer to our mission of building a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. As we head into 2023, Lime Ride Replay gives riders a personalized look back at where and how they Limed as well as the impact they made in 2022.

From Austin to Berlin to Sydney, one thing the Ride Replay proves is that no two riders are alike. Based on their riding behavior, we developed rider personas.. We’ve seen ‘The Cool Cruiser,’ who never missed a chance to get out and enjoy the ride and ‘The Routine Rider,’ who thrives on - you guessed it - routine, commuting at the same time every morning . There’s also ‘The Multitasker,’ who has a packed agenda, squeezing in multiple stops in one trip and ‘The Eco Cruiser,’ the top 5% of LIme riders who avoided the most carbon.

We also rewarded some of our standout cities, with Paris winning our Greenest City award, given their contributions to avoiding CO2 emissions by riding Lime

While these personas don’t cover the entire spectrum, they do all have one thing in common: They’re making the world greener, one Lime at a time. This year, our riders rode with us over 115 million times in 250 cities on 5 continents. As gas prices rose, they rode in peace. They waved as they bypassed bumper-to-bumper traffic. They covered 140 million miles / 226 million KM traveling to and through parks, cities and beaches.

The year scooted by quickly but the global impact of our riders is undeniable. Our riders around the globe:

  • Avoided 9,529 metric tons of Co2 emissions

  • Completed 34,289,400 afternoon rides

  • Took 8,655,000 traffic-free commutes

  • Spared 4,058,950 litres of fuel from being consumed

We hope taking a look back at how they spent their year with Lime is an instant recharge for our riders to pursue a greener year ahead. We can’t help but be excited about how much more we can accomplish in 2023.

Happy New Year!
