We've teamed up with Phoenix Bikes, a nonprofit bike shop in Arlington, VA, to support their community bike drive. Anyone who donates a bike in March will receive 10 free ride credits that can be used on Lime e-scooter and e-bikes!

Phoenix Bikes is a nonprofit youth program and community bike shop located in Arlington, VA that serves the DC Metro area. Their mission is harnessing the power of bikes to help youth build passion, purpose, and a place in the community. We're proud to partner with Phoenix Bikes through our Lime Hero program which lets our Arlington riders round-up the cost of their trips and make small donations to support Phoenix Bike's work each time they ride with Lime.

Right now, Phoenix Bikes is in need of refurbished bikes to use in youth programs, to give back to community members in need of transportation, or to refurbish for sale at an affordable price at their bike shop to support their programming. If you have a high-quality bike that needs fixing up, Phoenix Bikes can give it a new home.

If you donate a bike in March, you'll get 10 free Lime rides up to 30 minutes each on both our e-scooters and e-bikes!

“With an increase in cycling over the past six months, we have an urgent need for quality used bikes for our shop and youth programming," said Phoenix Bikes Executive Director Emily Gage. “Phoenix Bikes can find great homes for bikes that just need a little love and we're so happy that Lime is helping to spread the word!”

To donate, just email Phoenix Bikes a few pictures of your bike and their mechanics will let you know if someone in need can use it. Check out this guide and the video below for the types of bike they're looking for.

If your bike is one they can use, Phoenix Bikes will schedule you an appointment for a no-contact drop off at the shop. During drop-off, they'll have you complete a quick receipt form, so that you can receive a copy of the donation receipt by email along with your code for free Lime rides!

If you're a Lime rider in Arlington, VA please enroll in Lime Hero and start donating to Phoenix Bikes each time you ride! Just open the menu of your Lime app and hit the donation button to get started.

These small donations add up over time! To date, Lime Hero has raised more than $200,000 for local community organizations.
