We are proud to join TheFork to announce a new partnership to support Melbourne restaurants and cafes called Dine on a Lime. The new partnership will allow Melbourne residents and visitors to rediscover the best of what the city’s hospitality scene has to offer with discounted e-bike rides to and from the restaurant and extra loyalty points towards their account with TheFork. When riders make a booking through TheFork, they will receive a code for a 50% discount on two e-bike trips (to travel to and from the restaurant). In addition, when users book through TheFork app, they will earn 500 Yums (normally 150) on their account with TheFork (when a user reaches 1000 Yums, they receive $20 off their bill).
“We are proud to have offered a safe, open-air, sustainable form of transport throughout the pandemic and now that lockdowns have ended we want to help Melbourne residents and visitors rediscover what they love about our city. We are thrilled to partner with TheFork to support local businesses and get Melbourne moving again. We encourage everyone to Dine on a Lime this summer,” said Hugo Burt-Morris, General Manager of Australia and New Zealand, Lime.
“We are excited to partner with Lime to connect Melbourne residents with their next great dining experience. Our hospitality industry has experienced another tough year, with Dine on Lime we hope to see people getting out to support local restaurants and discover more of the amazing venues Melbourne has to offer,” said Gary Burrows, Country Manager of TheFork Australia.
TheFork is the leading online reservation site in Australia, Europe, and Latin America, giving users access to over 1000of Melbourne’s best eateries in an easy to use platform. To take advantage of Dine on a Lime, users can book their reservations through TheFork to receive a code that will get them 50% off rides to and from the restaurant. Users will also earn 500 Yums — TheFork’s loyalty rewards program — when they book through TheFork app. Yums can be accumulated and used for up to $50 off a future meal.
We have worked to help cities around the world get moving again as the pandemic has entered new stages and we are so grateful for the opportunity to do so in Melbourne as well. In September, we launched our “Lime Access” scheme across Australia, providing discounted rides of at least 50% to support affordable pricing for users with a Services Australia Health Care Card, making a $450,000 investment in equity for riders in Australia and New Zealand. We also launched our Ride to Recovery initiative in Melbourne in September, a global push to help cities get moving again by encouraging Lime riders to get vaccinated. We are proud to have committed $50,000 to this campaign in Australia and New Zealand.
We will continue looking for ways to support Melbourne small businesses and the city’s economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
