Brace Yourself, Marshawn Lynch Just Brought LimeBike Into Beast Mode®

It's true; LimeBike has officially gone Beast Mode®.
Today, the US leader in dockless bike sharing is proud to announce that we’ve teamed up with renowned NFL running back Marshawn Lynch to promote smart urban mobility across the country. The initiative aims to kick off in communities throughout California’s East Bay area, and for the Raiders superstar the location couldn’t be any more appropriate.
“We’d bike everywhere growing up” says Marshawn, referring to his hometown of Oakland, California. “By having LimeBikes in the neighborhood, we can make it easy for kids to bike to school, work, or wherever they need to get to.”
To make the dockless bikes more accessible to children and families in underprivileged communities, Marshawn will be donating free ride credits to kids in conjunction with his Fam1st Family Foundation. The nonprofit was launched in 2011 with the help of fellow NFLers Joshua Johnson and Marcus Peters to help reinforce the values of literacy, education, and self-esteem in children.
“Marshawn epitomizes who we all strive to be: fun, compassionate, and inspirational,” says LimeBike co-founder and CEO Toby Sun. “His vision of providing smart, accessible transportation to the masses aligns perfectly with ours, and we look forward to working together to make this transportation affordable and equitable for all.”
Of course, this wouldn’t be a true Beast Mode collaboration without a little added style. To that end, Marshawn has worked closely with LimeBike to help design a collection of branded Beast Mode bikes that are set to be unveiled in front of his brand’s two flagship stores in Oakland and Seattle.
Over the coming months, look for us to pair up with Marshawn for a series of exciting LimeBike community launches. For more information on our collaborative community efforts, or to find out how you can take a ride on one of Marshawn's Beast Mode bikes, send us an email at [email protected].
