Today, LimeBike is launching our award-winning dockless bike sharing system in Burlingame, California and on the California State University, Northridge campus. BURLINGAME

The city of Burlingame in San Mateo County is perfect for cycling, whether you’re exploring the Bay Trail, grabbing a ride to and from the Caltrain or meeting up with friends on Burlingame Ave. With 200 of our 3G, GPS-enabled smart bikes strategically located throughout the city, it’s never been easier to get where you’re going for just $1. But don’t take our word for it.

“LimeBike’s bike sharing pilot offers Burlingame residents and visitors a fun new transportation option for getting around town,” says Mayor Michael Brownrigg. “We hope the pilot will reveal the bicycle potential in Burlingame and encourage people to choose biking over driving.”

CSU NORTHRIDGE

With enrollment topping 41k, LA’s CSU Northridge is the largest state university in California. That’s a lot of bodies and backpacks to fit into the campus shuttle on a daily basis.

Thankfully, LimeBike is working with the school to offer 400 of our smart bikes to students, faculty, and staff members alike. Spread between student housing on the north end and popular hubs like the University Student Union, they’re a convenient and affordable way to help clear campus congestion and make it to class on time! But that’s not the only benefit LimeBikes afford.

“A bike-share program is part of both our climate action plan and our sustainability plans, as a method to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,” says Austin Eriksson, Director of Energy and Sustainability at CSUN. “We are the first in the CSU or UC system to do this.”
