N26, the company that helped revolutionize banking in Europe, is pairing up with Lime to offer scooter riders more than a dozen countries a new, cost-saving way to get moving this summer.

Now through December 5, 2019, Lime riders who add an N26 card to their account will receive 50% off of all Lime electric scooter rides. The card must be activated as a user’s primary payment option in order to receive the discount.

The N26 partnership and its benefits are available to Lime riders in the following European countries:

To add an N26 card to your Lime account, simply open the app, tap the profile menu then tap “Wallet”. From here, you can add or adjust payment options and set your default payment method to N26. Note that riders with an existing wallet balance will need to toggle on the N26 payment option.

Lime’s partnership with N26 comes amid a summer of record-breaking scooter ridership across Europe. Last month Nordic cities in Sweden and Denmark passed 1,000,000 Lime electric scooter rides, while in June Deloitte reported that the widespread adoption of micromobility in Poland was playing a key role in steering citizens away from private car ownership.
